Overview
If you are not receiving ButterflyMX notifications on your Apple Watch, the issue is usually related to notification settings or contact preferences within the mobile app. Apple Watch can only display certain types of notifications, and some settings may prevent them from appearing on the watch.
The most common cause is when the contact preference is set to Video Call instead of Notifications, since Apple Watch does not support video call notifications from the ButterflyMX app.
Check Your ButterflyMX App Preferences
First, confirm that your contact preference is set to Notifications.
Follow these steps in the ButterflyMX mobile app:
Open the ButterflyMX app
Tap Account
Select Preferences
Tap Calls
Choose Notifications instead of Video Call
If Video Call is selected, notifications will not appear on your Apple Watch.
Check iPhone Notification Settings
Next, confirm that notifications for ButterflyMX are enabled on your iPhone:
Open the Settings app on your iPhone
Scroll down and tap ButterflyMX
Tap Notifications
Make sure Allow Notifications is turned on
Check Apple Watch Notification Settings
You should also verify that your Apple Watch is allowed to mirror notifications from your iPhone.
To check this:
Open the Watch app on your iPhone
Tap Notifications
Scroll down and find ButterflyMX
Make sure Mirror my iPhone is enabled or notifications are turned on
If the Issue Continues
If notifications are still not appearing on your Apple Watch after confirming these settings, additional device or notification configuration may be involved. In that case, contact support so the issue can be investigated further.
