Overview
If a package was delivered to your building but you did not receive a notification from ButterflyMX, there are a few common reasons why this may happen. In most cases, the issue is related to notification settings or how the delivery was recorded by the delivery personnel.
The ButterflyMX system sends notifications only when a package is assigned to a specific resident during the delivery process.
Possible Reasons
Notification Settings
Your notification preferences may not be enabled in the ButterflyMX mobile app. If notifications are disabled, you will not receive alerts when a package is delivered.
To check your notification settings:
Open the ButterflyMX mobile app
Tap Account
Select Activity & Messages under Preferences
Make sure App Notifications or Email Notifications are enabled
Enabling at least one of these options ensures you receive delivery updates.
Delivery Not Assigned to Your Name
When delivery personnel deliver multiple packages at the same time, they may not select each resident’s name individually during the delivery process. If your name was not selected, the system will not generate a notification for your unit.
This situation is common during bulk deliveries and is outside the control of the ButterflyMX system.
Additional Information
ButterflyMX provides access control for package rooms, but the delivery process itself is handled by the delivery company or courier. If you have questions about how the package was delivered or recorded, you may need to contact the delivery provider directly.
