Are you upgrading your ButterflyMX Video Intercom to a new 8- or 12-inch model? Don’t throw your 7- or 11.6-inch model away, recycle it!

At ButterflyMX, we’re committed to sustainability and reducing electronic waste. That’s why we make it easy to return your legacy model ButterflyMX devices for responsible recycling at no extra cost. Here’s everything you need to know to recycle your ButterflyMX device the right way.

What to do:

1. Keep the packaging from your new intercom
   • When your new ButterflyMX intercom arrives, hold onto the packaging. You’ll need it to send your legacy device back to us.
   • The box is already designed to fit the intercom perfectly, and it helps ensure the original device is protected during return shipping.
2. Place the previous model in the new box
   • Once your new device is installed, pack up the legacy model using the packaging from the new intercom. Make sure to secure it with any included padding to prevent damage during transit.
3. Use the return shipping label
   • Your new intercom shipment includes a prepaid UPS return label. Just stick it onto the box with your 7- or 11.6-inch model inside.
   • There’s no need to print or pay for anything. It’s all taken care of.
4. Drop it off or hand it off
   1. Once it’s time to return your original device, you’ve got two options.
   2. Bring the box to your nearest UPS store, or
   3. Hand it to your UPS driver the next time they stop by your building.
   4. Either way, it’ll be shipped back to us for proper recycling.
