How to Sync Credentials to dormakaba EVO LZ Smart Lock via Bluetooth

Context: 

To sync your credentials from ButterflyMX OS to your dormakaba EVO LZ smart lock via Bluetooth, make sure your lock is already set up in "BLE/Offline Mode" using the Lyazon app, before following the steps below.

Step 1 - Add Credentials to ButterflyMX

  • Program the necessary fobs or credentials into the ButterflyMX OS.

Step 2 - Sync Credentials to Lock via ButterflyMX App (must be at lock)

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and you have the latest version of the ButterflyMX app downloaded before proceeding.

  • When you are near the smart lock, open the ButterflyMX app

  • Select the offline smart lock from the device list

  • When the lock details page loads, it will start downloading updates from the cloud. The screen will show "Getting Updates" during this process:

     

    • Once updates are ready, select "Synchronize lock."
      • Place your phone flat on the lock to synchronize. Keep it still until it vibrates.
      • The app will display "connected to the lock" once a connection is made.
    • You can now test your PIN or fob!
 
 
Please note: After changing your PIN in the ButterflyMX app, return to the Device list and update the PIN on the lock as described above. Property administrators can assign a dormakaba fob ID to a tenant and have them follow these steps to update their credentials.

If you manage multiple locks, allow a few minutes for the new PIN to sync across all devices after making changes in the ButterflyMX app.
