Context:

Please use these directions to program your dormakaba EVO ComID key fob and cards to work on both smart lock units and ButterflyMX devices at your property. Please reach out to ButterflyMX Support to enable the dormakaba fobs on the ButterflyMX devices first, then follow the steps below.

Please note: If your dormakaba EVO LZ locks are set to "offline" or BLE mode, please follow the steps below and then sync the credentials to your lock using the ButterflyMX app while you are near the lock using these instructions.

What to Do:

1. Navigate to the Tenants page on your ButterflyMX dashboard. Select the tenant you would like to program the key fob or card for:

   

2. Click the New Access Tool button and choose the Smart Lock Key Fob & Card option from the drop down:

   

3. In the Access Tool ID field enter the 8-digit ID that is printed on the dormakaba fob or card and then hit Save. This field auto-populates the necessary zeros when you begin to type - you only need to enter the digits after the 0s. This fob or card is now programmed for both the smart locks and ButterflyMX devices.

Please note: If your dormakaba EVO LZ locks are set to "offline" or BLE mode, please follow the steps below and then sync the credentials to your lock using the ButterflyMX app while you are near the lock. More information about this step can be found here.
