Thermostat integration now launched
Release Details: ButterflyMX now integrates with select Honeywell Wi-Fi smart thermostats giving property managers and residents a seamless way to monitor and control climate; all from the ButterflyMX OS and mobile app they already use.
Property managers can oversee all units from a single dashboard, set temperature limits, configure vacant unit defaults, and automate schedules without ever entering a unit. Residents control their thermostat directly from the ButterflyMX mobile app.
Why it Matters: Property owners increasingly want a single proptech vendor for smart locks and in-unit tech. This integration will allow property managers of multifamily housing to integrate temperature controls into their access control workflows, automatically adjusting the temperature of individual units in sync with vacancies and turnovers saving money on energy costs.

Maintenance Agent (beta): easier to set up, easier to manage
Release Details:
- Faster setup: onboarding now takes four clear steps with a progress tracker: add your technicians, notify your staff, activate your residents, and turn on the Maintenance Agent.
- One settings page: staff notifications and resident access now live on a single Property Settings page. You can add staff in bulk, change notification levels, and activate or deactivate residents in bulk.
- Redesigned request page: you can see each request's status and urgency, and track it from Submitted to Assigned to Scheduling. Past appointments, recent calls, and your chats with residents, technicians, and the agent all sit on one screen.
- Smarter scheduling: visitor passes now attach to the appointment, so if a visit is rescheduled, the technician's access moves with it.
- Agent Voicemail: if a vendor doesn't pick up, the Dispatch Agent now leaves a message with the details of the request.
Why it Matters: Getting started is quicker, and you can see exactly where every request stands. Vendors also get the information they need, even when they miss the call.
Learn More: Maintenance Agent (beta) is in open beta. See activation and setup details here
See and manage every camera in one place
Release Details: The new Camera Devices page gives property and community admins, including installers who hold those roles, one view of every gateway and camera in a building.
- See building-wide counts for Online, Limited, and Offline, with filters, search, and sorting.
- See each device's model, serial number, MAC and IP address, network, and storage details.
- See upload and connection health, with plain-language tips when a problem points to bandwidth or connectivity.
- Check hardware on site from your phone.
- Video exports now start as a one-minute clip.
Why it Matters: Admins and installers can spot offline or limited cameras quickly and see the likely cause without contacting support. Our support team sees the same view, so troubleshooting is faster.

Multi-sensor cameras are now supported
Release Details: ButterflyMX now works with third-party multi-sensor cameras. These are single cameras with several lenses. Each lens appears as its own camera into the OS and obie app and works like any other camera on your property. So it can be viewed, recorded, permissioned, and managed exactly like any single-lens camera. Each lens needs its own cloud storage license and counts toward the gateway's 10-camera limit. We've validated specific models. Non validated ONVIF cameras will likely work.
Why it Matters: You can now cover more of your property with fewer devices. So there’s one mount, one cable, and one power source to install.

Mobile app updates across several touchpoints
Release Details: A batch of updates and bug fixes landed across iOS and Android over the past several weeks. We fixed an issue where smart locks were incorrectly reporting battery status and percentages. And we fixed stability issues and false "offline" message
Why it Matters: We squashed bugs and made improvements; because getting in the door should never be the hard part.
Learn More: All fixes are live and available within app versions 1.68.0 on Android and iOS v1.125.0.
Property access, visitor passes, and property management
Release Details: A batch of updates landed on our OS over the past several weeks
Amazon Key setup is easier. Property admins can now upload access point photos as small as 100 KB (previously 500 KB). Oversized photos are automatically resized instead of being rejected.
More reliable access. New or rewired elevators now sync to intercom configurations automatically, so they no longer go missing until a manual import is run. Visitor passes now follow the access point, not the intercom. A pass is no longer wrongly rejected after a tenant's intercom is swapped.
- Delivery Notifications. The Delivery Notifications page no longer times out for buildings with a large delivery history.
- Amenities. Moving an amenity reservation to a different amenity in Building Admin now updates correctly, so the booking shows the right room.
Why it Matters: Fewer setup errors, more dependable door and elevator access, and fewer pages that fail to load or show outdated information.
Learn More: These updates are now live and available across your OS
