Do you have access to multiple units or properties through ButterflyMX? No problem! The mobile app makes it easy to switch between different locations using the building switcher feature.
๐ฑ How to Switch Units/Properties
Step 1: Open the ButterflyMX App
Launch the ButterflyMX mobile app on your device and navigate to the Home screen.
Step 2: Find the Building Switcher
Look at the top of your Home screen where you'll see your current building name and unit number displayed.
Step 3: Tap to Switch
Tap on your building name and unit number at the top of the screen. This will open a dropdown menu showing all properties and units where you have access.
Step 4: Select Your Destination
From the dropdown list, simply tap the desired building or unit to switch directly to that property.
โ Requirements for Multiple Properties
To see multiple properties in your app, you must be:
- Added to each property using the same email address
- Registered as a resident at each location by the property manager
๐ง Troubleshooting
Can't See the Dropdown Menu?
If you don't see other properties when tapping the building name, it means:
- You haven't been added to the other property yet
- Different email addresses were used for different properties
Different Email Addresses?
If your properties use different email addresses:
- You'll need to log out and log back in with different emails to access each property
- OR ask your property managers to update one of the accounts to use the same email address

Can't add yourself to a new property? Only property managers have the authority to add residents to buildings. Contact your property manager or leasing office to:
- Add you to a new property
- Update your email address to match existing accounts
- Remove you from old properties
