Context:

Follow the steps below to associate a 3rd party key fob with a tenant in the ButterflyMX system after an initial denied swipe.

1. Take the 3rd party key fob and swipe it at one of the ButterflyMX card readers or Monarch Intercoms on the property

2. Login to the ButterflyMX Dashboard and go to the Door Releases page. Find the corresponding Denied door release from the swipe completed in step 1:

3. Click the Key Fob & Card number next to the Denied release status. The Create Access Tool window will appear to assign this fob to a tenant:

4. Choose the desired tenant from the drop down menu. Choose Key Fob & Card from the Type drop down and hit Save:

5. This process associates the 3rd party key fob to the chosen tenant in our system. Test by swiping the fob at one of the ButterflyMX card readers and/or intercoms. 

Please note: If after completing the steps above, the fob works only on the ButterflyMX intercom but not the card readers (or vice versa), please repeat the process again by swiping the fob on the card reader and following the steps above.
