How to Sync Credentials to Yale Smart Lock via Bluetooth

Context: 

Follow the steps below to sync your credentials from ButterflyMX OS to your Yale smart lock via Bluetooth.

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and you have the latest version of the ButterflyMX app downloaded before proceeding.

  • When you are near the smart lock, open the ButterflyMX app

  • Select the smart lock from the device list

    • The Access Details screen shows an updated battery level and confirms you are within bluetooth range of the lock

 
  • Choose “Synchronize lock”

  • Once complete, the button will display “Synchronized.” Now you can test your PIN!

 
 
 
Please note: If you change your PIN in the ButterflyMX app, please then navigate back to the Device list and follow the steps above to update the PIN on the lock. 

Property administrators with access to numerous locks should allow a few minutes for synchronization after changing their PIN in the ButterflyMX app. This ensures the new PIN is successfully distributed to all locks.
