What to do:
Here are the steps to power cycle your Elevator Control System (ECS). This procedure can help resolve issues you might be experiencing with the system.
-
Locate the ECS: This is a small electronic box, similar to a router but without antennas. It features 8 relay ports, an internet port, and a USB port. Please see the attached photo for reference.
Elevator Control System (module with 8 dry contact relays) - Unplug the Internet Cable: Detach the CAT cable from the internet port and leave it disconnected for at least 5 minutes. After this period, reconnect the cable and allow the unit to power back on.
- If the unit does not power down when you remove the internet cable, the device may be powered through the USB port next to the internet port. If so, unplug the USB cable and repeat the above process.
- After the above steps are completed, reach out to Support to inform them and they will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the system functions correctly following the reboot.
